Making your bathroom safe for mobility issues

As we age we can often find that mobility issues can occur and things that we were once able to do with relative ease we now struggle to cope with. It is important that we make adjustments to help with any mobility problems that we currently have or that may occur in the future. This could be look at the Gloucester Park Homes for Sale at  places such as http://www.parkhomelife.com/our-parks/orchard-park-homes-gloucester-gloucestershire/ where all the homes are single storey, meaning that you are safe from falling down internal stairs.

You might also want to look at ways in which you can make your bathroom space safe.

When looking at potential problem areas in your bathroom  the bath is the first place to start. It is often where most accidents and slips and trips occur. If you are finding that you are less steady on your feet than you used to be then you should consider either having some hand rails put in place or removing your bath and think about replacing it with a sit in shower instead. Traditional shower units can also be difficult to navigate and where possible you should also have a shower stool available for you to sit to help prevent slips and trips.

Another area that can cause an issue is the toilet and you can find seats that raise the toilet up for you and also hand rails that can be fixed to the wall that will help you to safely get up and down.
