Where will it take you?

If your wardrobe was magic like the one in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, where would you want it to take you? You could choose to be magically whisked away to some of the world’s most beautiful destinations or maybe to another planet! Here we’ll take a look at some of the amazing places on Earth that everyone should see at least once in their lifetime.

Pretty high on the list has got to be the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. This is one truly awesome living being that can be viewed by swimming, snorkelling, diving or sailing. It is a World Heritage attraction which spans the Queensland coast for more than 2000 km. It is so grand, it can even be seen from outer space! There is so much beautiful marine and coral life here that is really needs to be seen to be believed.

The Northern Lights are a phenomenon that everybody should see. The Finnish Lapland is a snow covered wonderland complete with reindeer and access to the visual display of the Aurora Borealis. Hire a heated glass igloo and watch the night sky from the comfort, away from the freezing temperatures. Why travel to a mythical land when Earth has so much magic of its own to offer?

An African Safari also has to make the list and the best time to go is to see the migration in Kenya’s Masai Mara between June and November. Millions of zebra, gazelles and wildebeest roaming the plains with elephants keeping out of their way while being followed by hyenas, chancing their luck. This is definitely one destination I’d want my wardrobe to take me to. While we can’t promise you a wardrobe with special powers, why not think about treating yourself to a new one anyway. Kyoto in Japan is the Japan that you think of when you’re daydreaming about getting away from it all. It has traditional Grand Palaces, maiko dancers in kimonos, beautiful gardens and ornate shrines. Geishas and tea ceremonies, cherry blossom and temples. Waking up to morning meditation and a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Golden Pavilion. Oh for a magic wardrobe!

Route 66 is the choice for those who love to feel the wind in their hair and the freedom of the open road. This journey across America has inspired songs, films and books so it must be pretty awesome. It stretches from Chicago to Santa Monica, crossing eight states and covering 2,400 miles. So get yer motor runnin’ and see the desert of Santa Fe, the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas on your way.

The Rio Carnival is another one for the bucket list. Visiting is great but joining in the Sambadrome Parade is an experience like no other. The energy of the event is world-renowned and highly contagious with the rhythmic drumming, singing and dancing of thousands of people. Now, let me just try the back of that wardrobe one more time….
